Main purpose: To help you understand conversational French and to make you more interested in everyday French people. To improve all aspects of your French and to improve your cultural knowledge.
Comes with complete translation? Yes. Every line of French in the transcript has a line of English running right under it. (see a sample) No, Bien-dire has "help boxes" with translations of the harder vocabulary on each page. (see a sample)
Can be purchased as "magazine only," without CD? No. The CDs are the product. The transcript is just a tool to help non-native speakers understand the CDs. Yes. Many people order the magazine only. When they feel ready, they add the optional CD to their subscription.
Comes with a "slowed-down 25%" CD? Yes. These are the same interviews as on the original CD, but slowed down 25%. No.
Comes with a "Listen and Repeat" CD? Yes No.
